One-handed Catch by M.J.Auch
Losing a hand doesn't mean losing Norm's dreams. It just means it will take hard work and humor to succeed at everything from everyday tasks to playing baseball.
This novel really taught me that even if you think it's the end of the world for you in something it doesn't mean it really is! If you have a reading problem that doesn't mean that you can't read , if you're bad at singing that doesn't mean that you can't sing!Just like that Norm lost his hand but he was still able to do everyday tasks and play baseball!Some people think that if you have a little scar on your knee you have to sit in a chair! Those people should really read this book and learn from Norm! AA WW GR.5
One Handed Catch was the best book I ever read. It was funny and very amusing book. The main character was Norm who lost his hand in a meat grinder. But the problem is that he wants to play baseball and everybody is discouraging him.To help him practice he gets a ball and a rope. hen he attached the ball to the rope. He was bad at hitting but then gets good.Then after that he makes the school team with his best buds Leon and Carl.Hopefully you can get this wonderful book. MF SPG Gr5
I really like One Handed Catch by MJ Auch because it was funny ,entertaining ,and heart warming.This book was about a kid named Norm that loses his hand in a meat grinder and he's trying to play baseball.It took place in New York during Summer and Fall.I really liked the part when they ate twelve eclairs. I feel bad when Norm loses his hand.Norm was determined,smart,had one hand,and very ice. I would recomend this book to anybody who likes sports. CPD SPG Gr5
MJ Auch did a great job on this suspenceful novel. I liked this book because it was fast paced and exciting. At the same time the book is funny and entertaining. I couldn't put it down after the 14,or 15 chapter. THe main charters Norm, leon, and Carl have a strong relation ship. they all make the summer baseball traveling team. Norm's dad runs a meat shop. This leads Norm to losing his hand. Over all the book is suspenceful and exciting. I suggest you read this thrilling novel. BJS SPG Gr 5

The main character is Norm. Norm is determined and smart. His one main problem is he only has one hand. During the story he tries to learn how to play baseball with no left hand. I know I am not writing a lot,but I am on a tight schedule. The One Handed Catch is a great story about Norm, a boy who lost his wrist in a meat grinder. Norm wants to be a baseball player but is finding that hard to do. With a little help from Carl and Leon, he discovers that dreams can come true... you just have to work for them.
