  1. I have read 8 out of the 10 nutmegs so far. This one was the 2nd one I read.I would have really enjoyed this book if I hadn't read Elephant Run right before!Although I didn't like this book as much as The Elephant Run it was still a great novel! When Tom is lost in the middle of a sea battle I kept on wondering what I would do if that was me. I would never have the courage do do some of the things that Tom had to do in order to surrvive! Tom was very courageous!Avi is a great author. Some of the books he writes are at a high level but they are worth reading! If you are studying history this might be a good book for you.Avi always ties in history to the novels he writes! That is what I love about this book! I would deffinetly tell everyone I know to read this book!

  2. In The Lemonade War I learned lots of math and a lot about two siblings who are at war , but not really. They are selling lemonade and whoever wins gets the other siblings money. The characters Evan and Jessie fight for the money. The war takes place at Evan and Jessie's house and get all the way to Seven Eleven. This book is fun and I would recomend it to all my friends. This book is awesome.

  3. This book was a thriller,I loved it.in this book I learned that you don't have to win to be a winner. My favorite part of the book was when Jessie and Evan's mom announced that they were going to fourth grade together, and they were in the same class.I know I would have trouble if I was in the same class as my brother/sister.I was so eager to find out what happens in this book that I read it in one day!!!This book was inspiring to me and I hope it inspires you.
