Just before his eleventh birthday, Sam discovers his own picture in a mysterious newspaper article in his grandfather's attic. Although gifted with woodworking skills, Sam can't read, so he enlists the help of a new girl at school to solve the puzzle of who he really is and where he came from.
I am currently reading this book,I am almost done!I got the book 2 hours ago and I just have a couple pages to go!I bet you can guess that this book is a really good book by my dedication to reading it!The 1st page made me wonder! How could anyone be afraid of a number!I guess they were afraid because of 9/11!The number 11 is very common!Even my birthdate is 11!This book really reminded me of the book Double Identity! Both of these books kept making my mind constantly think in order to make a good prediction of what will happen next!Half of the time my predictions were wrong but the way the author put it made me think how could I have guessed that! The book is so much better in the author's words than mine!To find out if this book is a good book or not you will, have to read it yourself!I hope you will read this book!

At first the book was kind of boring, but as you dig deeper into it it actually is very interesting. What i don't get is what does the woman in his dream have to do with it?
ReplyDeleteI read this book over night. My report on it was the day after and I hadn't started. Eleven is one of my favorite books. The second I finished, I started another book by this author. Patricia finds a way to put suspense in Eleven in a great way so that you have to find out what happens next.
ReplyDeleteRead Eleven!!
It is a book you can't miss.

Over the summer I read Eleven. This book is about a boy named Sam who doesn't know how to read. One day a new girl named Caroline comes along and together they try to find out who Sam is and where he belongs. Sam is turning eleven and finds a couple of papers in a chest that he can't read. Caroline can't stop reading, but Sam can't begin. This book appealed to me because I really wanted to know what the papers said. This book also appealed to me because I wanted to know who Sam actually was and where he belongs. Though I didn't really like the beginning. They should've said when his birthday was near the first sentence. I really want to know if there will be a sequel to this book. I thought it was one of the best Nutmegs I read.

This book made me so excited because of all the suspense in the book! The ending is very shocking!I learned that Sam is very confused but then he finds out in the end what he's looking for. What he looks for is who his real family is because he sees his name in a news paper but its not his last name. This book really reminds me of a mystery book because people try to find out what they're looking for and at the end they find it. I recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries!
